EASY MAP is a student startup developed at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University to support the creation of an inclusive community and improve mobility for people with disabilities. The project focuses on developing a digital navigation solution that helps users identify accessible routes and public facilities designed to meet universal accessibility standards.
The primary goal of the project is to improve mobility and quality of life by providing reliable information about the accessibility of public buildings, transportation infrastructure, and urban spaces. EASY MAP promotes equal access to the urban environment and contributes to the development of more inclusive and barrier-free communities.
The project has been recognized in student innovation competitions. In 2024, the team won 5th place at the Pizza Pitch competition, receiving a 30,000 KZT certificate, and 2nd place at Demo Day SDI Startups 2024, earning a 40,000 KZT certificate to support further development and promotion of the project. EASY MAP highlights the potential of EKTU students to develop innovative social solutions that improve accessibility and quality of life.
