Plastic recycling Mini-line is an EKTU student startup offering an alternative strategy for polymer waste management directly at the point of generation. The project utilizes a custom-built, compact mini-line tailored to the university's needs to process local plastic waste (approximately 6.4 m³ per month) without relying on external industrial facilities.

The development promotes sustainable development goals and a circular economy. Recycling PET bottles, packaging, and old electronics casings right on campus reduces waste volumes and mitigates negative environmental impacts. The proposed technological solutions can easily be scaled and adapted for other educational institutions and enterprises in the future.

The project provides students with a research platform in the field of eco-protection and material reuse-for instance, developing innovative polymer-sand construction materials. Plastic recycling Mini-line proves that accessible, localized technologies can effectively counter environmental threats and foster an eco-responsible university environment.
