The Smart Parking startup, developed by Andrey Gladyshev, a 3rd-year student in the «6B07107 — Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies» degree program at D. Serikbayev EKTU, is aimed at creating an innovative parking area within the university's Green Campus project. The main idea of the startup is to establish an eco-friendly parking lot with a grass surface and introduce a digital traffic management system. Intellectual control allows real-time navigation of vehicle owners to the nearest available spaces, significantly reducing search time and vehicle mileage on campus grounds. Using durable grass pavers instead of traditional asphalt seamlessly aligns with the concept of sustainable environmental development, reduces heat pollution, and cuts exhaust emissions. The project's novelty and practical significance were highly commended at the Demo Day SDI Startups 2024 competition, where Smart Parking won 1st place and a 50,000 tenge certificate.
