The Engineering of Technological Processes Minor enables students to master modern approaches to developing manufacturing technologies for machine parts and assemblies—from a digital model to a finished product. Students will learn how to design technological processes, select manufacturing equipment and cutting tools, develop CNC machining programs, work with CAD/CAM systems, analyze manufacturability, and improve production efficiency. The Minor complements training in Reverse Engineering and Additive Manufacturing Technologies, equipping students with practical competencies of a process engineer that are highly demanded by modern mechanical engineering enterprises.
Objective: To develop students' professional competencies in the design, analysis, and improvement of technological processes for manufacturing mechanical engineering products through the application of CAD/CAM technologies, CNC programming, and modern digital engineering tools.
