Mechanical engineering is recognized as one of the priority directions of the development strategy of the industry of Kazakhstan.

Every graduate who plans to work in industry in the future or engage in scientific activity in such industries as oil and gas, mining, automotive and many others should know modern, progressive materials, the system of organization and management of product quality, methods of application and protection of intellectual property. This minor will give the graduate the opportunity to broaden the horizons of their knowledge.

Mechanical engineering is the leading branch of industrial production. Today it requires an innovative approach and scientific developments. The level of development of mechanical engineering also affects the economic development of the country. Managers of machine-building production should be able to use modern methods of process control, be able to apply methods of quality control of products and objects in the field of professional activity, analyze the causes of violations of technological processes in mechanical engineering and develop measures to prevent them.

Purpose: to train highly qualified specialists who are well aware of innovative methods of obtaining and processing new engineering materials, methods of control of metals, compounds and products by non-destructive methods, as well as ways to increase their wear resistance.
