From June 26 to July 1, Master students of D.Serikbayev EKSTU Madina Sembaeva, Sergey Shmatov, Yelaman Serikbayev participated in the "International Summer School on Land Degradation in Slovakia" within the framework of the international joint IUCLAND project on the topic "International University Cooperation on Land Protection in the European - Asiatic countries" by " ERASMUS + " program.
Lectures on the theme "Land degradation and sustainable land use in the European-Asiatic countries" were heard during 4 days. Lectures were read by professor P. Bielek, Ľ. Jurík, E. Pierzgalsk, P. Schwarcz, Z. Muchová and many other representatives of universities from the countries of Slovakia, Italy, Poland, China, Kyrgyzstan and Croatia. Practical part of the summer school included excursions to the field and to the laboratory at the university. On the final day of the summer school, students from each university defended their presentations, in which they talked about the problems of land degradation in their regions. Magistrates D.Serikbayev EKSTU presented a presentation on "Pollution of land in the East by radioactive waste and heavy metals."
Upon completion of the training, all participants passed an examination test, which resulted in the issuance of certificates. The D.Serikbayev EKSTU graduates received certificates with an excellent graduation from the summer school.
