At the beginning of April there was the working visit of experts group of the external expert commission of Independent agency for accreditation and rating (IAAR) to D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan state technical university with the purpose of external assessment of activity of the University.  

Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor, the head of the Department of Karaganda state technical University - Yuri Pak was the chairmen of  the commission structure which included: Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor, the expert of the Association of engineering education of Russia, Altay State Technical University named after Polzunov Viktor Markin, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, associate professor, the head of the Department of Agriculture and Plant growing S.Seifullin Kazakh agro technical University Gani Stybayev, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate Professor, the head of the Center of Accreditation and Quality management Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University Gulnara Turtkarayeva, the staff Manager LLP "BIPEK Auto Kazakhstan" Alexander Samoilov, the student of the history faculty, international relations and law D. Serikbayev EKSTU Zhansaule Chotpanova and the head of international projects Agency Timur Kanapyanov.

- This is the second final stage of external assessment of EKSTU activity – Yuri Pak noted. - Within its network, the experts are to evaluate the University in three dimensions - according to reports, on the basis of what they will have seen and by interviewing various categories of the University employees. Holding institutional accreditation of higher education institutions allows to give an objective opinion about the University, to find out how the set goals are fulfilled and if they meet the established standards and criteria. The experts’ task is to release of weak and strong aspects of the University, to give recommendations for improvement of its work efficiency.

There were organized the experts meetings with university administration, heads of structural units, heads of Sub-Department, deans faculties, lecturers, candidates for a master's degree, doctoral candidates and students of the university at first days of the visit. There also was productive conversation with graduates and employers.

Then the expert group familiarized with the material and technical base of the university. They visited laboratories and classrooms of EKSTU. The ultramodern equipment of “IRGETAS” engineering laboratory and projects being realized in it by scientists of the university produced a particular impression on the commission experts. The guests also visited student scientific-research Bastau center, library, student hub and scientific-research museum-laboratory "Altai".

A peculiar result was the generalizing meeting with the university administration in which the experts commented on the work of the commission and presented their recommendations.
