For over 50 years from edition to edition the life of the University is publicized by newspaper "Za znanie". The first edition was published on the 25th of February 1967. 50 years for history is a short term but for the information market is a whole era.

The first editor of University newspaper "Za Znanie" was the head of the CPSU Sub-Department Victor M. Savostenko, then Vladlen Shuster Meierovich and Tikhon Fedorovich Kobylkin. For a long time the newspaper was led by Yegor Demidovich Redko. Sometime the editor of the newspaper was Gabdull Mutkanov. Since 2003 till present days the editor of the newspaper is Zhanat Namysbayeva. Headed a till June of 2016 the head of press-service was Zhumadil Adilbayev. In the early years and till 1998 "За знание" was edited in one sheet of A-3. Now the newspaper is published according to its monthly periodicity, with a circulation of 500 copies and is from 12 to 16 pages. After the publication the newspaper is placed on the University website. Now the newspaper is published in a new design.

The newspaper in a timely manner and clearly reflect all the events that are important to our "University community." Characteristically, to date, not only does it provide information about innovative and integration processes taking place in society. Through regular columns such as "Discuss the President's address", "Suyinshy, Agayin!", "The University's best graduates", "Success!", "The conference", the newspaper encourages its readers to develop new skills and knowledge, you can even say, so brings up his mixed-age readership, and to improve the morals of his time is the main mission of true journalism.

"Za znanie" contributes to the cause of educating the younger generation, helps each student to become a worthy citizen of independent Kazakhstan, respects the talent, value the creative daring, instills a cult of a healthy lifestyle, love of art and sports.

In the future, the newspaper "Za znanie" more and more will reflect the values and traditions of the University, events that have become traditional for the University, as well as Olympiads, competitions, work circles, to talk about research and innovation activities of the University. A separate blog in each room will now be dedicated to the school graduates, which will contain information and news for them.
