In Ulan district on the basis of the farm "Bagration" was held solemn opening of the joint Educational Research and Production Center "Bagration" of D.Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical University. The event was attended by Rector of the University-Nurlan Temirbekov, Director of the farm "Bagration" -Vasily Voropai, head of the regional department of agriculture - Dusenbay Selihanov, mayor of Ulan district - Bahytzhan Bayahmetov, Vice-Rectors and Staff of the university.

Fruitful cooperation between D.Serikbaev EKSTU and farm "Bagartion" began in 2008. During this time, have been successfully implemented several joint research and production projects. Opening of Educational Center "Bagration" will let the students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. This joint project will be the first example of the close link between science, education and industry in Eastern Kazakhstan.

On the basis of the Center also was implemented a research project of Professor of the Department "Forests, Wood Technology and processing industries" of D.Serikbaev EKSTU - Alexander Vorobyov, project title "Development of innovative biotechnology production of biologically active feed additives for animals and birds," as a result the development of alternative technology of feed products for livestock and poultry farms.
