On August 23 of the current year, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Mr. Prabhat Kumar visited the EKSTU within the framework of a working visit.

During the official meeting, the Rector of the EKSTU, Professor Zhassulan Shaimardanov, and Mr. Ambassador discussed issues of extending cooperation between the National Cadet Corps of the Republic of India and EKSTU, supporting students and teachers in academic mobility and informing applicants from India and Kazakhstan about the possibilities of applying for educational grants of the two states. They touched on issues of joint educational double-degree programs with universities in India. The EKSTU came up with a proposal to create educational programs in geology with the Western Michigan University (USA) and a university in India. Mr. Prabhat Kumar also supported the idea of creating a cultural Indian center on the basis of the EKSTU.

The EKSTU has been collaborating with the National Cadet Corps of the Republic of India since 2015. During the cooperation, officers and students of the military department of the technical university visited this country 6 times. The Indian side paid a reciprocal visit to the EKSTU 2 times.
