Within the bounds of the IX summer Universiade of Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan dedicated to EXPO-2017 the students of the University were actively involved in the competitions and achieve state-of-the-art results.

The team of D.Serikbaev EKSTU became bronze medalists in rugby (men, women) held in Taldykorgan, the competitions were conducted from October 13 to 18, 2017. Also D.Serikbaev EKSTU team took the 4th place 4th place on billiards, arranged in Almaty. The competitions were held from October 21 to 30.

From October 30 to November 8 at the competitions in summer sports orienteering in Taraz, in the relay race, the team of D.Serikbaev EKSTU won the III prize-winning place in the following composition: Vasiliev Eduard, gr. 17-EL-1, Argynshanov Daniyar, gr. 15-MTMK-1,5, Kambarov Elzhan, gr. 15-MKK-1.
