The VI International Educational Forum "Altai - Asia 2024" was held in Belokurikha (Altai Territory). Experts from more than 10 countries discussed the challenges facing modern universities.
On behalf of the CGTU, Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Sarsembayeva A.A. Sarsembayeva delivered a report on "The transformation of the university into an international educational platform in the context of the Eurasian space" at the Expert Panel of the Forum. She spoke about the ratings in which the university occupies a leading position, presented the main directions of international cooperation, the main strategies for the transformation of the university, the best practices of CGTU - "Workshop of Lu Ban", the Kazakh-German Institute of Science and Technology, ERASMUS +: CirculEC, and also about the active participation of CGTU in the events of the Association of Asian Universities. The report aroused great interest among the Forum participants.
The forum consisted of 4 tracks: Track 1. Transformation of education: a prototype of future changes; Track 2. Skills of the future; Track 3. Digital asset of the regions; Track 4. Integration in the educational space of Greater Eurasia: new approaches and partnership strategies.
The senior lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and the SPD, K.S. Kalieva, PhD, took an active part as a moderator and speaker in the work of track 4. On this track, issues of preserving and enhancing the cultural and natural heritage of Eurasia were discussed. Special attention was paid to the problems of further implementation of the international integrated project "The Turkic world of the Greater Altai: unity and diversity in history and modernity" (Scientific and Educational Center "Greater Altai").
Members of the CGTU delegation became participants of the VI Congress of the Association of Asian Universities. The main topic of the Congress was the coordination of key areas of activity and the definition of a development strategy for the Association of Asian Universities as a platform for networking between leading universities in the Asian scientific and educational space, taking into account new challenges and tasks, and summarizing the results of the work. The Congress held the election of the President of the Association of Asian Universities for another two-year term (Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University Lenar Safin), as well as the admission of new universities to the Association.
