In the boarding school ‘Akniet’ for physically disabled children of the East Kazakhstan Education Department was opened a robotics classroom.
Equipment for the school was handed over by the East Kazakhstan State Technical University named after D. Serikbaev.
According to Natalia Denisova, the dean of the EKSTU School of Information Technology and Energy, the equipment unit includes five basic sets, five laptops and two resource sets. Resource set extends the element base of the basic robotic constructor. It contains many additional elements. It includes: gears, large rotary elements, elements for the personalization of robots and other unique constructing elements. The set allows you to build more complex and functional robots and is used both for work in auditoriums and for competitions in robotics.
'Children of middle and senior classes will be engaged for work in the robotics class', says Svetlana Krivitskaya, the director of the school, 'such lessons will help our children develop systematic scientific thinking, as well as design and engineering skills. We plan to participate in contests and competitions and, of course, win. We would like to express our gratitude to the University management for the worth-while and necessary equipment for the children'.
