The round table will focus on discussing contemporary models of collaborative consumption, digital platforms and ecosystems that shape new approaches to sustainable economic growth, resource optimization, urban development and the strengthening of social inclusion. In the context of accelerated digitalization and growing global uncertainty, the sharing economy is becoming one of the key tools for enhancing the competitiveness of national economies, which makes this topic particularly relevant for Kazakhstan and other emerging markets.

The programme of the round table includes presentations by leading national and international experts on the following topics:

  • Current trends in the development of the economy, finance and management in the new reality

The event will address the impact of digital platforms and sharing models on market structures, employment and consumer behaviour, as well as prospects for the development of regulatory frameworks and the ESG agenda. Particular attention will be paid to adapting international best practices to the national context of Kazakhstan, advancing the circular economy, improving the digital literacy of the population and building resilient digital ecosystems at the regional level.

Following the round table, it is expected that practice-oriented recommendations will be developed for the academic community, public authorities and businesses, and that priorities for further scientific cooperation and integration of the outcomes into EKTU’s educational programmes will be identified. The University invites all interested parties to join the discussion and contribute to shaping the contemporary agenda of the sharing economy and digital transformation in Kazakhstan.
