D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) has become the only Kazakhstani university to join the World TVET League (the Global League for Technical and Vocational Education and Training). This milestone marks a significant step in advancing technical education, both for the university and for Kazakhstan, on the international stage.

An EKTU delegation, including Chairman of the Board-Rector Saule Rakhmetullina, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Zhadira Konurbayeva, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Assiya Mashekenova, participated in the First General Assembly of the World TVET League, held in Tianjin, China. This large-scale event featured the official launch ceremony of the League, which will serve as a platform for discussing innovative approaches and best practices in vocational education.

EKTU has become the first and, so far, the only representative of Kazakhstan in this prestigious organization. Moreover, its immediate inclusion in the League's Council further highlights the university's status as one of the leading technical institutions in the country.
