In September 2024, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) and the Allur Automobile Plant signed an agreement to launch a dual education programme for university students.
Now, after the first academic year of collaboration, it is time to review the initial results.
Industrial Practice
Throughout the year, students enrolled in the programmes “Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies”, “Organisation of Transportation, Traffic and Operation of Transport”, and “Mechanics and Metalworking” received practical training at Allur’s production facilities in Kostanay.
Within the framework of the programme, they:
- participated in the assembly of vehicle components and units;
- studied logistics and the organisation of production cycles;
- mastered modern technologies and equipment;
- worked under the guidance of experienced mentors, gaining valuable professional skills.
Formation of Key Competencies
The training process was designed to replicate real industrial conditions as closely as possible. Students developed competencies in:
- process organisation and quality control;
- logistics analysis;
- vehicle maintenance and diagnostics;
- management of transport flows.
Special emphasis was placed on developing practical skills demanded by the labour market, as well as professional culture and responsibility.
Ceremonial Completion and Future Plans
At the graduation ceremony, Bakhtiyar Muratovich Yeleussizov, Technical Director of Allur, highly praised the results of the joint work and presented students with certificates of practical training completed within the dual education framework.
However, cooperation between EKTU and Allur does not stop there.
During his visit, Mr Yeleussizov held meetings with Rector S. Zh. Rakhmetullina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. Kh. Mashekenova, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Zh. T. Konurbayeva, and faculty members of the International School of Engineering.
The parties discussed new objectives, development plans for the dual training programme, and conducted the selection of students for the upcoming academic year.
EKTU and Allur continue their collaboration, opening new opportunities for training highly qualified specialists for Kazakhstan’s automotive industry.
