On April 21, 2023, the results of the 12th International Environmental Olympiad of CIS universities were summed up at an online meeting. The Olympiad lasted for 12 days, from April 10th to April 21st. It was held on the basis of the Belarusian State University, Republic of Belarus, Minsk. This year 46 universities were represented at the Olympiad, there were 230 participants in the teams. During the competition, some universities dropped out of the race. 36 teams have completed the competition.

D. Serikbayev EKTU is represented at this international venue for the second year by students of group 19-БЖ-1: Bolatov Ansar, Bayseitova Zarina, Polyakova Alina, Sovetbekova Dana, Fedorova Karina. Team leaders Petrova O.A., Idrisheva Zh.K.

The competition is held in four stages. The first is the team's business card, on which a video or presentation about the university, specialty, team is presented. The second is a theoretical tour with the solution of tests and tasks on the Moodle platform. The third is a practical tour with the protection of the project on a predetermined topic. This time the task was to design an ecological trail. And the fourth is a creative contest, for which an essay on a given topic is submitted. This year the topic of the essay is complex and very relevant for the whole world and Kazakhstan in particular: «Nuclear energy. Pros and cons».

Our team passed all 4 stages of the Olympiad with dignity. Sovetbekova Dana took 1st place, Bolatov Ansar - 3rd place in the individual competition in the creative competition.
