One of the directions of the state program "Digital Kazakhstan" is to increase digital literacy in secondary, vocational and higher education, as well as the development of start-up culture and R&D. To solve these problems, on the initiative of the director of the East Kazakhstan municipal state institution of the regional center for new technologies in education Sergey Kovalenko and the vice-rector for research and digitalization of the EKTU, Natalia Denisova, in the innovation center "JASTAR TIME", together with the teaching staff of the EKTU, special modular training programs were developed, where schoolchildren learn 2D / 3D graphics, programming, and create videos. The center also serves as a business platform for the exchange of experience and ideas in the field of IT: young developers are taught how to implement their StartUp project and demonstrate it to experts and potential investors.

For students of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, teaching staff of EKTU conducted classes in the following areas for 3 months:

  • "3D modeling" (senior teachers of the Architecture and construction school Kriulko N.S. and Gurskaya O.E.)
  • "Programming in C#" (Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business and entrepreneurship Uvalieva I. M.)
  • "Video montage" (researcher of the center of competence and technology transfer Okhotenko I.A.)
  • “School of Business” (associate professor of the Business and entrepreneurship school Islyam G.I., deputy dean of the BaE school Zhanabaeva A.S.).

Modular training programs developed and tested by the teachers of our university will make it possible to popularize entrepreneurial activity among young people, form and develop project and innovation activities, and also provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge and practical skills in developing and defending Start-UP projects in the IT direction.

After the successful completion of the training courses, the students were issued certificates.
