D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University hosted the presentation of the «EKTU SCIENCE WEEK» program.
The grand opening of the program unveiled to students the captivating world of science-a realm of innovation, research, and boundless possibilities. The event marked a vibrant launch of a week-long intellectual marathon, immersing every participant in an atmosphere of inspiration and discovery.
Students were introduced to the Science Week program in detail, emphasizing its core mission: to serve as a bridge between theory and practice, to act as a platform for intergenerational dialogue, to open a window into the future through cutting-edge advancements.
Key highlights of the program included:
- The XVI International Scientific Conference «Physics of Solid State», dedicated to the memory of Professor Sergei Viktorovich Plotnikov.
- A roundtable discussion on «The Role of Young Scientists in Kazakhstan’s Science» with representatives from the Women’s Wing of the "AMANAT" Party.
- A Beat Saber Championship organized in collaboration with Oskemen Hub.
- Geologists’ Day, celebrating the 90th anniversary of Professor Boris Aleksandrovich Dyachkov.
- A roundtable with industry experts titled «Scientific Research in Earth Sciences: Integrating Theory and Practice», honoring the legacy of Academician Kanysh Satpayev.
- The XI International Scientific-Technical Conference for students, undergraduates, PhD candidates, and young researchers, «Youth Creativity for Kazakhstan’s Innovative Development», commemorating the 80th anniversary of Professor Zhenis Orazkhanovich Kulseitov.
The presentation was enriched with video tributes to EKTU professors Zhenis Kulseitov and Sergei Plotnikov. Archival footage, interviews with scholars, and glimpses into modern laboratories merged into a powerful narrative, illustrating how science transforms dreams into reality.
