On June 29-30, 2020, international online summer school "Radiation control and radiation monitoring" were organized by The Institute of nuclear energy of MEPhI(Obninsk) and EKTU named after D. Serikbayev with the support of the RSE "Institute of nuclear physics" (Almaty).

The event was aimed at young professionals and students interested in this topic. Students were young scientists, doctoral students from Almaty, Karaganda and students of EKTU.

During the school, the issues of radiation, its types, as well as methods of prevention and elimination of radiation consequences were discussed. Both large-scale, historical and current radiation problems and events were touched upon.

Despite the short duration of the school, students managed to get a substantial database of information from leading lecturers and completed number of tasks and tests on the given topics.

At the end of their studies at the international online summer school, participants are presented with certificates.
