The rector of D. Serikbayev EKSTU - Nurlan Temirbekov held the meeting on issues of career occupational guidance work. Vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments and divisions of the University took part in the event, also directors of Ust-Kamenogorsk schools were invited.

Opening the meeting, the rector Temirbekov noticed that every year career occupational guidance work at the University has received heightened attention. Responsible persons execute a large amount of work in this direction, However, it is not always that expended efforts correlate with the final result. Therefore an analysis should be made of traditional events, to correct them, to exchange views and to develop an optimal way of doing purposeful activity.

The head of the Department of pre-university training and admission to the University - Venera Manasheva and Executive Secretary of the admissions office - Valentina Kolpakova told about performed and planned activities of career occupational guidance and agitation work, and also about the activities of the Department in this direction in whole. Director of the Kazakh secondary school-gymnasium № 44 named after O. Bokey - Tanatkan Tumenbayev and Director of the Kazakh-Russian gymnasium (school № 30)- Dmitriy Zhuravlyov expressed their recommendations and suggestions on issues of leading career occupational guidance work in University.

Summing up, the meeting participants noted that such held meeting in the University with schools of the town on issues of occupational guidance is useful for both parties.
