A delegation from EKSTU is on a business trip to develop partnerships with universities.

One of such universities is the Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI". The university is one hundred thirty three years old. The inventor of the radio A.S. Popov was one of the first rectors of the university, while Zh.I. Alferov, who graduated from the Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI", won the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics.

The meeting was participated by the Rector Victor Sheludko, Vice Rector for International Affairs Anastasia Minina, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation Yuri Sentyabrev, Head of the Office for International Academic Mobility Maria Kiseleva, Head of the Department of Biotechnical Systems Zafar Yuldashev, Head of the Center for Continuing Education in Medical Technology Anna Glazova, and Head of the Center for International Programs Tamara Segeda.

The Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" is one of the strongest Russian universities in the field of electrical engineering. We work with this university since 2018. We have jointly developed an educational program in the field of medical engineering, and implemented advanced training for the EKSTU faculty on the basis of "LETI" to launch the educational program.

There is a sufficient demand for specialists servicing high-tech medical equipment in our region. It was proposed to develop a joint educational program, graduates of which will implement professional support and operation of complex, highly intelligent, robotic equipment, many of which are installed in medical facilities of the East Kazakhstan region.

For EKSTU, cooperation with "LETI" opens up new opportunities in the training of highly qualified industry personnel.

At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement, an agreement on academic mobility of faculty and students and a roadmap for implementing the agreement were signed, for the first time in the history of our cooperation.
