This week, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University hosted a number of events in support of the republican environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan." The focus was on what truly matters — ecology, education, and the active involvement of young people in building a greener future for the country.

Schoolchildren and students showed great interest in the work of the university’s environmental clubs and learned about like-minded teams engaged in real action: organizing clean-up days, conducting eco-lessons, researching the region’s environmental conditions, and promoting a culture of conscious consumption. These meetings demonstrated that everyone can become part of significant change, starting with a small step.

One of the key events was the eco-hour on the theme "Nature in Our Hands." Among the first to deliver a lecture was the Clover Environmental Club from the School of Geosciences. Eco-hours are not just lectures — they are live dialogues, idea exchanges, and a source of inspiration for action. They help students and schoolchildren understand how closely our daily habits are linked to the state of the environment. It’s a time when knowledge turns into awareness — and awareness into action.

It is important to understand that environmental initiatives at universities are not just a trend. They are a school of civic responsibility, where a new generation of leaders is being formed — individuals ready to protect and enhance Kazakhstan’s natural heritage. Such actions cultivate empathy and provide young people with a powerful drive to act.

Nature is truly in our hands. Each of us can contribute to a clean, green, and sustainable future. "Taza Kazakhstan" is not just an event — it is a movement, a choice, and a shared concern for our homeland. Let’s make Kazakhstan cleaner — together!
