On March 17-18, seminars by invited international professor Evgueni Jak were held at the International School of Engineering of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU).

As part of his visit, Professor Jak delivered a series of lectures and practical seminars for undergraduate, master's, and PhD students of the International School of Engineering, as well as for the university's research staff and faculty members. During the sessions, he shared his extensive academic and industrial experience in the field of pyrometallurgy and high-temperature processes.

On the first day, the main seminars were conducted, while the second day featured their continuation along with a meeting with the university's young researchers. The meeting focused on discussing opportunities for scientific collaboration and prospects for joint research.

Evgueni Jak is the author of more than 450 scientific publications and a recipient of numerous prestigious international awards in metallurgy and materials science. He is a Professor of Pyrometallurgy at The University of Queensland (School of Chemical Engineering) and the co-founder and director of the Pyrometallurgy Innovation Laboratory (PYROSEARCH).

The laboratory carries out large-scale international research programs in copper, lead, metal processing, and iron thermochemistry, supported by leading global metallurgical companies.

EKTU places great importance on developing international cooperation and strengthening scientific ties with leading universities worldwide. We highly value such visits and are always pleased to expand academic partnerships.
