EKTU named after D. Serikbayev will cooperate with Singapore Polytechnic - the relevant Memorandum was signed during the visit of President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev at the Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Forum.

The staff of Serikbayev EKTU visited The programme of the Kazakhstan-Singapore Forum as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. At the forum "New Frontiers of Partnership in Science and Higher Education", plenary sessions on "New Frontiers of Partnership" and "Sustainable Water Resources Management" were held, where the key points defining the future cooperation between Kazakhstan and Singapore in science, higher education and sustainable water resources management were discussed.

The plenary session "New Frontiers of Partnership in Science and Higher Education" was the focus of discussion on strategic steps to enhance co-operation between the two countries. The participants actively exchanged ideas on how to create effective mechanisms to integrate innovations and advanced technologies in various sectors of the economy.

The second part of the forum was dedicated to the theme "Sustainable Water Resources Management". Scientists, experts and representatives of governmental structures discussed challenges related to climate change, water scarcity, and presented best practices for effective water resources management. This discussion became a significant step towards finding innovative approaches to the problems of ecology and sustainable development.

At the forum, Serikbayev EKTU presented the work done by the university in academic, scientific and educational spheres, activities in CDIO and the project of implementation of "Lu Ban Workshop". Also, at the panel session New partnerships frontiers the leading researcher of the Department of Science of EKTU - Samambayeva Aizhan made a speech.

During the forum, a Memorandum between EKTU and Singapore Polytechnic was signed - this collaboration will facilitate even greater exchange of knowledge and skills between the two higher education institutions, in the context of the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals and joint work in the field of science and higher education.

Collective work will generally promote a culture and way of thinking focused on continuous learning to enhance work and life skills, and in the future the universities plan to organise joint activities and programmes (internships and practical training for students, teachers, scientists). This mutually beneficial co-operation will contribute to the mutual development and transformation of engineering education in line with international standards, as well as improve the academic and research areas of the universities.
