Delegation of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of the Republic of India headed by Colonel Sameer Sharma visited East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev. For the guests was organized a week-long rich program of events aimed at strengthening international cooperation and exchange of experience.

On the first day of the visit of the delegation the excursion on picturesque parks and cultural places of the regional centre of the East Kazakhstan region Ust-Kamenogorsk city was organized, that allowed foreign guests to get acquainted with the unique atmosphere of the city.

An important part of the visit was the visit to the military department of EKTU where the Indian delegation got acquainted with the educational material and technical base, met with students and teachers of the department. During the meeting joint classes and sports competitions were held, which contributed to the strengthening of friendly ties between the students of the two countries. In addition, the delegation visited the university's teaching laboratories and the museum "Big Altai". During the excursion the guests were able to assess the achievements of EKTU in scientific and educational activities, as well as to get acquainted with the history and cultural heritage of East Kazakhstan.

In general, co-operation between EKTU named after D. Serikbayev and NCC has lasted for nine years already since 2015, officers and students of the university's military department have been visiting India as part of strengthening international ties, participating in both cultural events and "Safari in the Desert". In turn, cadets and officers of the National Cadet Corps of the Republic of India come on return visits to Kazakhstan, which contributes to strengthening friendly ties between our two countries.
