At a ceremonial event dedicated to the Republic Day of Kazakhstan, citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of the country and the region were honored. Among the award recipients were staff members of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU).
Meruert Otegenova, Research Fellow at the VERITAS Center of Excellence, who is also actively engaged in public service as Deputy Chairperson of the “Marhabat.KZ” Society of Persons with Disabilities, was awarded the “Shapagat” Medal for her many years of dedicated work, compassion, and active social engagement.
Eleonora Stolyarova, Chief Research Fellow at the International Research Center “Digital Social Research,” public figure, and member of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan for the East Kazakhstan Region, was honored with the “Alǵys” Badge of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan for her significant contribution to strengthening interethnic harmony and civic unity.
These high awards are a recognition of the professionalism, kindness, and active civic stance of our colleagues, whose example inspires the EKTU staff and students alike.
