Project abstract
The project is dedicated to the research of the effect of modulation period and coating process parameters on the properties of multilayer coatings, understanding the changes in microstructure and properties resulting from variations in the modulation ratio of alternate layers and the phase composition at the interface. The aims to develop TiAlN/Si multilayer coatings with distinguish physicochemical properties such as high hardness, corrosion- and wear-resistant. Establishing correlation between deposition and treatment conditions on resulting coating performance.
The expected results of the project are to develop TiAlN/Si multilayer coatings with distinguished physicochemical properties. The effect of the modulation period and coating process parameters on the properties of multilayer coatings will be disclosed. The mechanism of amorphous Si interlayers enhancing to tribological properties at TiAlN/Si multilayer coating will be given.
Through the project we will foster young scientists for our country via training undergraduate/graduate students from EKTU. In collaboration with foreign scientist, we will have opportunity to learn the advanced knowledge/technologies and use their advanced facilities. This exchange helps us to improve our technologies and beneficial to development of education and science in Kazakhstan.

In collaboration with foreign scientist, we will have opportunity to learn the advanced knowledge/technologies and use their advanced facilities. This exchange helps us to improve our technologies and beneficial to development of education and science in Kazakhstan. Based on the research results, we plan to publish: at least 2 (two) articles in journals from the first three quartiles by impact factor in the Web of Science database or having a CiteScore percentile in the Scopus database of at least 50. The scientific and technical products prepared as a result of the project implementation (new technologies, methods, software, technical documentation, recommendations for solving problems, scientific and technical, experimental design and industrial developments, geographical, geological, seismic and other maps, new materials, substances, equipment, preparations, tools, protocols treatment and others) along with a security document, an act of implementation, recommendations for implementation, a license agreement, the application for the commercialization project must be submitted in the form of a documentary confirmation certified by the head of the implementing organization with the attachment of photos, videos, and other information. In order to popularize science, disseminate information about the results, increase the likelihood of their implementation and commercialization, a web page on the website of the implementing organization or laboratory (or a separate website) will be created, where the project realization and results will be published. The information on the web page (or website) will be updated regularly (at least 2 times a year). For each scientific publication within the framework of the project, information about its content and possible application should be published on the website of the organization/laboratory and in social networks and (or) mass media. |
