Purpose of the program: To conduct scientific assessment of the investment attractiveness of the basic structures of Kazakhstan promising mineral deposits delineation.

Research methodology: field research, geological and tectonic modeling, GIS-technology, inferential research, the complex of high precision methods in Veritas, NJSC EKTU (translucent electronic microscopy, mass spectroscopy research with inductively coupled plasma ICP-MS, X-ray spectral analysis and X-ray diffraction study.

Expected outcomes: The main result of the program will be the developed recommendations on replenishment and expansion of the mineral resource base of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Articles will be published in foreign publishing houses and publishing houses recommended by Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science, a monograph, chapters in Kazakh or foreign publishing house. A modern educational and production base for training young specialists - geologists will be created based in NJSC EKTU.

Socio-economic effect. The results of the research will have a positive impact on the replenishment of mineral resources of non-ferrous, precious, rare metals and rare earths of Kazakhstan. Replenishment of reserves will increase the socio-economic situation of the studied regions of Kazakhstan; will attract investments; will increase the production force and employment of the population.

Applicability of scientific results - the resources of the main types of ores in Kazakhstan are identified, areas for the prospects of their industrial development and investment attraction are identified.

The target consumer of the results will be subsoil users and investors in mining sector of economy, the Geology Committee.

The target consumer of the results will be subsoil users and investors in mining sector of economy, the Geology Committee.

Tasks:

Task 1. To collect, analyze and generalize materials in geology and minerals of ore-bearing structures of Kazakhstan.

Task 2. To identify and justify the investment attractiveness of structures promising to delineation of deposits of various minerals.

Task 3. To rank ore-bearing structures of Kazakhstan by the degree of its prospects for various types of minerals.

Task 4.  To create 3D models of the main industrial and genetic types of mineral deposits in Kazakhstan.

Task 5. To conduct marketing research on minerals needs.

Task 6. To develop specific recommendations for replenishing and expanding the mineral resource base of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Task 7. To use the results of research to create a modern educational, scientific and production training ground for geologists based in NJSC D. Serikbayev EKTU who have competences to conduct modern methods of prospecting and exploration of solid mineral deposits.

Final result - The main result of the program will be developed recommendations on replenishment and expansion of the mineral resource base of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
