The military-patriotic club "Zhas Sarbaz" operates in the Higher IT College of D. Serikbayev EKTU.
The purpose of the military-patriotic club "Zhas Sarbaz" is to educate the younger generation of high patriotic feelings and moral qualities, civic engagement, patriotism, spiritual and moral development and a sense of responsibility to the Fatherland, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and popularization of military -applied sports.
Tasks of the military-patriotic club "Zhas Sarbaz":
- implementation of the state youth policy in the field of;
- moral and patriotic education;
- assistance in preparing young people for military service;
- development of technical and military-applied sports;
- development of intellectual and physical activity, promotion of healthy
- lifestyle among young people;
- study and preservation of the military-historical heritage of Kazakhstan;
- organization of mass and educational work on the basis of the military-patriotic education of young people on the basis of the military-industrial complex;
Members of the military-patriotic club "Zhas Sarbaz" are students of the first courses of the college.
The head of the club is Tursynbek M. Egemberdinov. The college has developed a plan of work of the Zhas Sarbaz club for the academic year. Various events on military-patriotic education are held throughout the year.

In order to increase the social activity and patriotism of students, a sense of citizenship and devotion to their homeland, love for the Motherland, readiness to defend the Motherland, on May 4, 2023, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, in honor of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 31st anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a regional song contest was held, in which students of the IT College of D.Serikbayev EKTU took the honorable 1st place.
On May 11, 2023, the city championship dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was held in shooting from pneumatic weapons and partial disassembly of the Kalashnikov-74 assault rifle. The team of the Higher IT College of D. Serikbayev EKTU took the honorable 2nd place.
The team consisted of first year students: Zhakupaev Aldiyar, Kabdulda Azali, Kaukenova Arailym, Tleukhan Bekzat.
