Testing laboratory for construction products (IL SP)

In 1986, a testing laboratory for building materials and structures was established at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Construction and Road Institute, which was renamed in 1991 upon re-certification into the "Regional Test Center" with the right to arbitration tests, and since 1996, upon accreditation, was named "Center Certification Tests of the East Kazakhstan Technical University" (CSI EKSTU). For more than 30 years, Vladimir Fedorovich Shevlyakov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering, has been the head of the "Testing of Building Structures and Materials" - CSI (Certification Testing Center) for more than 30 years.

CSI EKSTU as a testing laboratory was certified in 1987, 1988 and 1991 (attestation certificates No. 228 dated 03.11.1988 and No. 474 dated 04.12.1991), and was also accredited with registration in the State Register of the State Civil Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1996, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2012 (accreditation certificates: dated November 28, 1996; dated August 29, 2000; dated December 10, 2003; dated February 05, 2007; dated November 15, 2012). In 2018, the Center for Contemporary Art was renamed into the Testing Center for Building Materials and Structures. And in January 2019, due to a change in the structure of the university, the center was named "Testing Laboratory for Construction Products". The head of the IL SP is Rudenko Olga Vladimirovna, Ph.D., successfully combines educational, methodological work with research work.

Main areas of work - certification, arbitration and periodic tests, quality control of building materials, products and structures, quality control in the construction and repair of roads. "Testing laboratory of construction products" was created to conduct identification, control, certification and other tests in accordance with the requirements GOST ISO/IEC 17025.

This laboratory is used to develop professional competencies:

• Skills and skills in conducting tests to determine the physical and mechanical properties of building materials, products and structures in accordance with the requirements of GOST ISO / IEC 17025.
• Maintaining documentation in an accredited laboratory in accordance with the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025.

Target: provision of services by an accredited laboratory to determine the actual physical and mechanical characteristics of building structures of existing facilities or at the construction site.

Tasks:

• Sampling and testing of construction products at the construction site.
• Quality control during construction, reconstruction, restoration and strengthening of building structures of buildings and transport facilities.
• Identification of defects and damage by instrumental methods, determination of the physical and mechanical characteristics of materials and the degree of wear of structures during the examination of objects.

Mobile laboratory is a laboratory performing work directly at the facility, the tasks of which are:

• detection of defects and damage by instrumental methods;
• determination of physical and mechanical characteristics of materials;
• determination of the degree of wear of structures during the inspection of objects;
• non-destructive testing during the construction of buildings, structures and facilities transport construction.

The laboratory is equipped with:

• Hardness tester electronic compact portable TEMP-2, TEMP-4K;
• Concrete strength tester IPS-MG4.03, UKS-MG4, POS-50MG4;
• Kashkarov's hammer;
• Concrete cover thickness gauge and reinforcement location gauge IPA-MG4, Profometer 5+ Scanlog;
• Ultrasonic thickness gauge UT-93P, AR 850;
• Stand for testing reinforced concrete structures;
• Press 10, 50, 125 tons;
• Explosive machine 10 and 50 tons;
• Installation for determining the water resistance of concrete;
• Installation for determining frost resistance;
• Installation for determination of abrasion.

The building products testing laboratory is accredited for compliance with the requirements of GOST ISO / IEC 17025-2009 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”, has an accreditation scope covering more than 50 types of products, which allows you to control the quality of construction at city and regional facilities.
