Developed by EKSTU specialists with the support of international companies GIZ and AES, the strategic game "Synergy" is an innovative educational tool designed for interactive learning of energy efficiency principles.
Concept and Mechanics:
The main goal of the game is to achieve the required level of the country's energy efficiency within an allocated time. The overall energy efficiency indicator is calculated using the mathematical formula. The target parameter for successful completion is set at a specific mark, such as 5,000,000.
Gameplay involves the following tasks:
- Infrastructure Development: Players must strategically place energy source objects (CHP, nuclear, wind, and solar power plants) and consumer objects (villages, settlements, and megapolises).
- Network Creation: Objects must be connected into a unified energy grid using power lines.
- Budget Management: Players can earn money by correctly answering educational questions and by selling surplus electricity. In advanced levels, energy export is possible by connecting sources to the borders of neighboring countries and signing contracts.
- Upgrades: Players can upgrade consumer objects by modifying their properties. Improving these objects directly leads to an increase in the energy efficiency score or optimization of electricity consumption volumes.
The project provides an engaging way to raise youth awareness about energy conservation and resource allocation, supporting sustainable development goals within the energy sector.
