On April 2, 2026, a meeting of the selection committee was held at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University to review and select candidates for studying abroad under the “Academic Mobility” program for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The independent expert committee included the following members:
- Olga Vladimirovna Leonova – Head of the International Resources Center of the East Kazakhstan Regional Library named after A.S. Pushkin;
- Elena Evgenyevna Zhang – Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences;
- Kairat Oralkanovich Alembayev – PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Law and International Relations.

Student selection was carried out on a competitive basis. A total of 35 students from various academic programs participated in the competition.
The selection process considered the priorities of academic fields, English language proficiency, academic performance, achievements at international and national levels, as well as students’ involvement in university life. The selection was conducted in accordance with Order No. 613 dated November 19, 2008, “On approval of the Rules for sending students abroad for study, including within the framework of academic mobility.”
As a result, 18 students were included in the main list and 9 students in the reserve list.
