According to the results of the statistical ranking of the National business rating among enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2013-2014, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan state technical university took second place in the TOP-5 (gold) among the enterprises of the East Kazakhstan region on the criterion of "Individual income tax" and the 10th place in the TOP-35 (gold) among the enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the criterion of "Value-added tax". Thus, the University was granted the right to award the title of "Leader of the industry".

For the achievements of the national certificate "Specialist of the year in the nomination of the finance and audit 2015" were noted chief accountant of the University - Olga Melitsina and accountant of high category - Kulnar Kakisheva, the national certificate of "Specialist of the year 2015" - the accountant of high category - Natalia Vsyakih. Medal "For professional achievements" was awarded Olga Melitsina; order of the "Pride of the economy" was awarded the rector of D. Serikbayev EKSTU - Nurlan Temirbekov.
