From the 06th  to the 10th of  February  2017 in Ust-Kamenogorsk there was held a training course "Energy efficiency and energy management system (EMS) in accordance with the international standard ISO 50001", conducted by international experts from the German Energy Agency (dena).

The training was designed for 5 days and was organized in the framework of the project on teaching safety and energy efficiency for sustainable development of East Kazakhstan region, implemented by Group of AES companies in Kazakhstan jointly with the German society for international cooperation Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

According to the programme develoPPP.de German society for international cooperation GIZ GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for economic cooperation and development of Germany Bundesministerium für internationale Zusammenarbeit (BMZ) enter into partnerships with private companies to promote development, thereby bringing economic objectives and policy development.

The training was attended by officials from the energy and metallurgical enterprises of East Kazakhstan: JSC "UMZ", KEGOC, LLP "Ust-Kamenogorsk flour milling plant", Group AES in Kazakhstan, Kazgiprotsvetmet, as well as teachers and graduate students of  D. Serikbaev EKSTU, Ust-Kamenogorsk Polytechnical College.

The training program included the following topics: "Legal and legislative basis of Kazakhstan in the field of energy efficiency and energy savings"; "Information systems management"; "Financial assessment of energy efficiency projects"; "Optimizing systems and processes (incl. buildings)"; "energy audit and development plan of energy efficiency measures".

The German Energy Agency (dena) is the competence centre in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Agency dena provides consulting services for the development of energy policy at the national and international level and provides assistance to promising innovations, contributing to a faster achievement of results focused on the saving and efficient use of renewable sources of energy. Dena founders are the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, banking group KfW, the insurance company Allianz SE, Deutsche Bank AG and DZ BANK AG.

- We are pleased that highly qualified specialists "dena" energy efficiency conduct this training - participating in the training, an employee of Ust-Kamenogorsk flour milling plant, head of the power building, Alpysbayev Kazy Kuandykovich said. The knowledge will enhance our skills, and we, in our turn, will try to improve the level of efficiency at the enterprises of East Kazakhstan region.
