As part of the visit program, the delegation — including KAMK Rector Matti Saren, Lead Project Specialist Anna Tervonen, and Machineotech CEO Juha Pohjala — visited a mine in Ridder, where they familiarized themselves with mining operations and modern technologies used at the site.

The Finnish guests also visited EKTU, where a meeting with the university’s leadership took place. During the working session, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in science, digital technologies, and innovation transfer. The delegation also had the opportunity to explore the research centers and competence centers of the university.

The Finnish representatives noted that EKTU possesses strong capabilities in both education and scientific research, making it well-positioned for successful international collaboration. The dialogue between KAMK and EKTU marks an important step forward in building this partnership.
