The round table conference "The state of contemporary historical science in Kazakhstan: problems, search, solutions" took place at D.Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical University. The conference covered the questions that appear at the report of the state secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin at the second Interagency Working Group for the Study of Natural History.

The round table was prepared by Sub-Department of  Kazakhstan history and law D.Serikbaev East Kazakhstan State Technical university with the participation teachers  Department of  Philosophy and problems of  human development.

During the conference addressed the issues: an interdisciplinary approach to the study of historical science, the role of the scientist-historian, sources and source materials, the history of Kazakhstan in the context of world history, the continuity in the teaching of the history of Kazakhstan.

During the discussion of the questions, the scientists came to the conclusion that historical knowledge should not divide people it's should unite the people, to serve not only the formation of a national self-knowledge, but also Kazakh identity.
