On April 23, 2025, the International Forum was held at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKSTU).

The International Forum dedicated to supporting the development of infrastructure for the implementation of a nuclear energy program is a specialized event aimed at creating and improving educational programs for training qualified specialists in the operation of nuclear power plants. The forum brings together representatives from educational and research institutions, energy companies, international organizations, and regulatory bodies. During the discussions, modern approaches to training, the integration of new technologies and digital solutions, as well as issues of international cooperation in the field of human resource development for nuclear energy are explored.

The organization of this forum became possible thanks to the implementation of a large-scale project by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the IAEA — “Expert Mission to strengthen the National Capabilities for Education and Training to support the NPP Programme” and “KAZ2010, Supporting the Development of Infrastructure for the Introduction of the Nuclear Power Programme (Phase 3)”. At present, an educational program on the operation of nuclear power plants has been developed in collaboration with IAEA representatives.
