In November 2025, Zhanna Aubakirova and Nelli Krasnobayeva, within the framework of the grant project AR26198919 “The Kazakh Family in the System of Social Relations: Potential and Problems of Inter-Institutional Interaction in the Context of Modernization”, funded by the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, carried out a scientific visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the researchers met with colleagues from the Tashkent State University of Law, the Renaissance Educational University, and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. A series of expert meetings and consultations were held on the development of the family institution, social policy, and the mechanisms of interaction between the state and society in the context of modernization.

The Kazakh scholars took part in an international round table, where they presented findings from Kazakhstani research on the transformation of the family institution, discussed shared demographic and social trends in Central Asian countries, and identified potential directions for future comparative research.

Particular attention was given to the practical use of digital tools in sociological and legal research. The DSR Research Center team conducted a master class for Uzbek colleagues and students, demonstrating modern methods of processing social data, digital visualization techniques, and the use of online analytical platforms.

The researchers also visited the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, where they studied Uzbek academic and methodological literature related to the interaction of family, society, and the state, as well as family policy and social support issues. The materials collected will serve as a valuable basis for further comparative studies and analytical reviews within the current grant project.

This scientific mission contributed to the strengthening of academic ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the expansion of international cooperation in the field of social and humanitarian sciences, and the development of joint research initiatives aimed at studying the transformation of family and social institutions under the conditions of modernization.
