Online-conference was held at D.Serikbaev EKSTU on July 26, 2018 within the frameworks of international project “Sustainable Mobility Research in Central Asia” realization supported by Volkswagen Foundation (Volkswagen Stiftung). The following universities participated in it: Technical university of Berlin (Germany), N.Issanov Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture (KGUSTA), Bishkek Humanities University (Kyrgyzstan). The issues concerning organization of internships for applicants, opportunities for publication of basic outcomes, as well the first summer school in Kyrgyzstan were discussed at this conference.

The candidate from our university is Olga Ya. Shvets who was chosen by Volkswagen Foundation steering committee to participate in research stay at Technical university of Berlin out of 10 applicants (period of research stay is from December 2018 till February 2019).

The next period of submitting applications will be in September-October, 2018.

Remember that participation of D.Serikbaev EKSTU in this international project will provide the opportunity for our master and doctorate students, as well as for teaching staff to carry out researches on chosen directions, to have research stay for three months in Germany, to publish research outcomes in Kazakh and foreign journals, and to participate in Summer Schools that will be organized in three countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan) and in Iran.

The international project “Sustainable Mobility Research in Central Asia” at our university is coordinated by International technology Postgraduate School Oskemen (ITPS OK) in cooperation with the Department of Engineering. This project is completely financed by Volkswagen Foundation.
