A delegation of faculty and students from the Military Department of D. Serikbayev EKTU visited India as part of a two-week international program aimed at fostering youth cooperation between Kazakhstan and India. Notably, their participation was made possible by an invitation from the Military Attaché Office at the Embassy of the Republic of India.
The event took place at the National Cadet Corps of India in New Delhi and brought together young military specialists from various corners of the world. In addition to the Kazakhstani delegation, the program welcomed representatives from the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Mongolia, Uganda, Mozambique, the Seychelles, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Malaysia, Singapore, Bhutan, and Nepal.
The primary goal of the program was to strengthen friendly ties among youth from different countries while facilitating the exchange of experience in military training and leadership skills. As part of the Republic Day celebrations in India, VKTU cadets and faculty members participated in ceremonial parades, cultural programs, and educational excursions. The delegations visited India’s key historical landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, and India Gate.
Additionally, participants had the unique opportunity to meet with the country’s top political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
It is worth noting that D. Serikbayev EKTU has been cooperating with the National Cadet Corps of the Republic of India for ten years, since 2015. Over this period, students and officers of the military department have participated in more than ten exchange programs and military exercises in India, contributing to the strengthening of bilateral ties in education and military cooperation.
Participation in such international programs not only broadens students’ knowledge but also provides them with valuable global experience that can play a crucial role in their professional development.
