One of the important results of the International Demographic Conference "Family - the basis of sustainable demographic development of Kazakhstan", held on October 20, 2023 in Astana, was the signing of the Agreement on the establishment of the National Consortium of research organizations on family, gender and demographic policy.

The main task of the National Consortium is to unite the efforts of scientific organizations and government agencies that study and implement measures in the field of socio-demographic processes. The establishment of the Consortium makes it possible to accumulate new knowledge in this area, to effectively implement scientific and research projects at the local, national and international levels, and to participate in the preparation of documents regulating the demographic development of the country.

A database of researchers of research organizations and works in the field of family, gender and demographic policy in Kazakhstan will be created. Information support and placement of joint research papers will be provided.

Consortium members will engage in media outreach activities to disseminate research findings and raise socio-demographic awareness among civil society. This may include the creation of programs, podcasts, and YouTube channels dedicated to discussing current issues of family, gender policy, and demography.

Consortium members will be able to develop joint training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of researchers and professionals.

The Consortium can participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs related to family, gender and demography in Kazakhstan, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
