From May 10 to June 14, 2025, the XIII Summer Universiade for university students of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in the city of Turkestan.
Today, the track and field team of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) completed their participation in the athletics competitions.
The events were held on May 21–22 at the Turkestan Arena Sports Complex, with athletes from 24 universities across Kazakhstan taking part.
As a result, EKTU athletes won one silver and one bronze medal at the Universiade:
- Artem Sizyh — 2nd place in the 110m hurdles
- Yan Antonenko — 3rd place in the 400m hurdles
