On April 17, 2018  the final of the 1st International Youth Festival on Financial Literacy "SMART Finance", organized by the Altai State University with the support of the KAU "Altai Center for Financial Research" took place in Barnaul.

The festival was held in the form of a video contest. According to the results of the absentee stage, by examining the video materials sent by the experts, 22 teams were admitted to the final part of the festival, including 3 teams from the D. Serikbayev EKSTU. This is the command "MAXIMUM" (Altynai Abzhanova, Dinara Sabieva, 15-БУ-1, Rimma Mukhatova, 16-БУТ-1). The head of the team is the senior lecturer of the "Finance, Accounting and Taxation" Department, E. Shapochkina. And the teams "Gold", "DREAM TEAM" (Nazerke Eshtova, Aidos Kuntek, 15-БФК-1, Aida Kairdinova, 15-МБК-1, Batyrkhan Nuralkhanov, Aydin Baltabekov, 16-БФТК-1, Yerkezhan Baymyrinova, Malika Mustafina, Alexandra Vorontsova, 15-БФ-1, Marzhan Amangeldinova, 16-БФТ-1, Vasily Khvan, 15-БЭ-1). The teams’ leader is the senior lecturer of the "Finance, Accounting and Taxation" Department, A. Bihanova.

The video contest was held in five categories: personal budget management, accumulation and investment, pension planning, risk protection, financial fraud and financial security, loans and borrowings.

As a result of the work of the jury, the winners in each nomination were determined. The students of the MAXIMUM team won prizes in the category "Credits and loans". The teams "Gold" and "DREAM TEAM" received the certificates of the participation of the Festival.
