As part of the national initiative “Law and Order” directed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, significant attention is being given to the education and protection of youth in the field of financial security.
In this context, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) hosted a Forum on Financial Security Training, organized by the Department of Economic Investigations for East Kazakhstan Region, under the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring.
The forum was attended by Deputy akim of the region Nurgaliev E.Zh., representatives of government agencies, teachers and students of VKTU.
The main purpose of the forum is to increase the level of financial and legal literacy among young people, to form students' understanding of current trends in financial security, to teach them to recognize and prevent risks and threats.
The best participants will receive cash prizes and certificates, and will participate in the International Olympiad in Russia.
The Olympiad consists of three stages:
- Online testing;
- Writing an essay in offline format;
- The final selection of the winners through an intellectual game and a digital chess tournament.
The lectures cover modern financial fraud schemes, droppers, and real-world cases. Students learn the basics of financial security and learn how to protect their personal finances. The total number of enrolled students is about 32,000 university and college students.
During the breaks between the trainings, interactive sessions are held, as well as an intellectual quiz game with university students.
In addition, talented and creative youth of the region launched student actions under the slogans "We are for financial security!", " No to Droppers!" and a bright trending flash mob.
