On April 23, 2025, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University was visited by Mr. Xue Min, Director of Shaanxi Shangpin Shuren Education Technology Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Vocational Education Alliance “One Belt, One Road” in Central Asian countries. The Alliance includes more than 120 colleges, institutes, and universities in China.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of International Cooperation was signed between D. Serikbayev EKTU and Shaanxi Shangpin Shuren Education Technology Co., Ltd.
According to the Memorandum, cooperation may be carried out in the following areas:
- Joint activities aimed at improving the organization of the educational process;
- Professional retraining and advanced training of teaching staff and vocational training instructors;
- Invitation of lecturers to give lectures, conduct online seminars, and provide consulting support;
- Implementation of joint scientific publications in academic-methodological journals and collections; providing opportunities for participation of teachers and students in jointly held symposiums, seminars, and conferences;
- Organization of industrial internships and practice-oriented training of students in their fields of study;
- Mutual internships for teachers of both parties at each other’s institutions on the basis of separate supplementary agreements;
- Student exchange within the framework of academic, extracurricular and other activities based on separate supplementary agreements.
At the invitation of Mr. Xue Min, from May 21 to 25, a university delegation led by Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Assiya Mashekenova visited the city of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The university representatives participated in the 9th International Forum of the “One Belt, One Road” Vocational Education Alliance, an international conference on vocational education in Central Asian countries, and visited several enterprises, vocational colleges, and Jiuquan Vocational Technical University.
