Within the framework of the International Forum of Strategic Partners “Kazakhstan — A Territory of Academic Knowledge,” organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) presented its innovative development “Smart Safety Monitor” — an intelligent industrial safety system created by the Industrial AI Competence Center.
As a result of the project evaluation, EKTU became a winner, presenting one of the best solutions in the field of applying artificial intelligence in industry.
Smart Safety Monitor is an intelligent platform designed for the mining and metallurgical sector and related industries, aimed at improving industrial safety and operational efficiency. The system integrates computer vision and machine learning algorithms to automatically recognize objects and faces, detect hazardous situations, and monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment.
The development demonstrated a high level of EKTU’s expertise in artificial intelligence and industrial technologies, strengthening the university’s position as a leading scientific and innovation center in Kazakhstan.
