On December 9, the Forum "Transform. Empower. Take. Action. Oskemen" was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, organized by the NGO "National Alumni Network" with the support of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan.

The topic of the forum was current global challenges and the search for regional responses to them. Among the invited speakers was Eleonora Stolyarova, PhD in Sociology, Chief Researcher at the ISRC "DSR" of the EKTU named after D. Serikbayev. Her speech on "Factors of Gender Violence and Victimization" aroused great interest. As a result the discussion of this pressing issue continued on the sidelines of the forum.

Issues of the environmental agenda, improving the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the rapidly changing international situation were discussed as part of the program of the event attended by students, graduate students, public figures and experts, media representatives. The fact-checking training was perceived as a particularly relevant part of the forum.

Holding such events promotes the development of constructive international relations, allows one to feel one's involvement in global trends, and allows the voice of the regions to be heard in international discussions, which is especially important for younger generations.
