Almaty hosted a series of events from April 13 to 15 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of its first university of architecture and construction, the Kazakh National Academy of Architecture and Construction. The events included the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Architecture and Artificial Intelligence for the Creative Economy,” as well as an expanded meeting of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s Academic and Methodological Association for the fields of “Architecture and Construction” and “Design.” Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Higher Education from Kazakhstan, and Bakhtiyar Asylbayuly Sabdenaliev, the Rector of KazGASA, both attended the event.  Bekbolat Espulovich Makhiev, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor, is a member of the Academic Council for "Civil Engineering" at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University. He participated in various events.

During the plenary and breakout sessions of the EMA, participants discussed current issues related to the use of digital technologies in educational programs, the specific applications of artificial intelligence in professional training, and universities’ experiences with dual education; they also announced the results of the national competition for bachelor’s and master’s theses.

The opening ceremony and closing ceremony of the 12th Festival of Eurasian Architecture, Construction, and Design Schools took place. The festival featured graduation projects from universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Lithuania, and other countries in the near and far abroad.

Projects completed at our university participated in the festival and were awarded the following certificates:

  • First degree (Bachelor’s) Kaysar Maulimgazinov (advisor: Elena Aleksandrovna Feoktistova);
  • Third degree (Bachelor’s) Yulia Balbasova (advisor: Tatyana Aleksandrovna Inozemtseva);
  • Second degree (Master’s) Nadira Daultekairova (advisor: Alexander Vladimirovich Khapin);
  • Third degree (Master’s) Miras Sairankhanov (advisor: Bekbolat Espulovich Makhiev).

B.E. Makhiev, for his long-standing partnership with KazGASA and active involvement in the EMA, received the prestigious "45th Anniversary of KazGASA" commemorative medal and a heartfelt letter of appreciation from the academy's rector.
