Traditionally in D. Serkbayev EKSTU in remembrance of the professor of the University - Zhantassov Turssynbek Gizatovich was held the mathematical Olympiad among schoolchildren of the region. Rector of the University, teachers, pupils and their parents took part in the solemn opening of the Olympiad. Professors of higher mathematics sub-department of EKSTU were as jury of the mathematical Olympiad.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds. According to the final results of the Olympiad the first place was awarded to Togzhan Serzhanova, gymnasium named after K. Bilyalov (Tarbagatay region, Akzhar village). 

The second place - Balsheker Zamanova, Zhambyl secondary school (Katon-Karagai region) and Salauat Kaiyrbekov, gymnasium named after K. Bilyalov (Tarbagatai region, Akzhar village).

Aliya Askerbekova, Aksuat secondary school № 2 (Tarbagatai region, Aksuat village), Maksat Nartai, Bolshenarym village lyceum (Katon-Karagai region, Bolshenarym village) and Amir Kassenov, Secondary school named after M. Gorkiy (Urdzhar region, Urdzhar village) took the third place in the Olympiad. 

The participants expressed deep gratitude to our University and expressed a strong desire to study in it after graduation of school.
